ABOUT US

A NOTE FROM OUR PASTOR

We’re glad you’re here!

Our story is “Loving People To LIFE".
You should find, whether on our social media as well as attending one of our family gatherings, we believe as Jesus lived LIFE…Love Is For Everybody.
We believe and continue to experience that God’s love accepts, forgives, heals and makes all things new.
One of His many encouraging words to us is “My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality” (1 John 3:18-19 Message).
Be encouraged. Be welcomed. Be blessed.

OUR HISTORY

25 years ago, Dave and Rosalie Hammond had a vision for Corona to plant a Friends Church. They started as West Community Friends Church. Years later, the name was changed to Corona Friends Church under the interim Pastors, Jeff and Nancy Jernigan.

Friends is a Christian-based denominational church founded in the 1600's by George Fox. He believed that everyone can have a personal relationship with God.

Our current Senior Pastors, John and Edie Bos, have been here for 8 years. Their vision is to lead people into a deeper relationship with Christ led by the Holy Spirit.

"I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."  John 15:15

OUR BELIEFS

We Believe in God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.                                                                                                                                                                              We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son], who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one universal church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
